Zoe was born in Ballarat in 1996.

Zoe won her first professional title in 2015, at the 15K Melbourne ITF tournament, making her Australian Open debut the following year. She won three Australian Pro Tour titles in 2018 and made her Wimbledon main draw debut in 2022, earning place in the draw as a qualifier.
