Amber was born in South Australia in 2001. She is a right-hander who believes her forehand to be her biggest weapon.

In 2020, Amber made her Grand Slam main-draw debut at the Australian Open alongside Alexandra Bozovic, but not before dominating in her junior years; Amber’s win at the 2018 Oceania Closed Junior Championships made for her fourth ITF junior singles title in a row.
